Although I started out considering it an extension of the Braley's pond loop, I ended feeling pretty epic.

Having to carry my bike a lot helped contribute to that sense of epic adventure. And made me super grateful to my 'rents for getting me a great bike that doesn't weigh too much. Thanks guys! |

Watching the sunset with about 4 miles of riding left was exciting! |
|
Red is where I was supposed to go. (its a 12 mile loop) and yellow is where I did go (~25 mile loop). |
In addition to this great weekend of riding I also feel bad about not writing something about last weekend. It was a very cool weekend that was full of biking and other forms of goodness.

Here David inspects the map, of where we've climbed and of where we will soon descend. |
|
Wolf Ridge is rough and in a pinch a 29er does indeed fit in a 26" tire! |
Then was the Mennonite Relief sale!!! Sadly I don't have any original pictures but
here is their main page and there are cool pictures of donuts.
And yet another one of the highlights of the weekend was the mountain bike festival! Jason Spicher and I rode road bikes out there to volunteer to make food. We heard about this trough our friends at the
Northend Greenway, part of the event was to help support this awesome new path.
It was a great ride and then we made a huge pot of rice, a huge pot of beans, and giant woks full of green peppers!
And of course, although cooking with giant tools was fun it was particularly great to just hang out with a bunch of mountain bikers and look at cool bikes. I think people who ride mtn bikes are by definition pretty cool people. It was also fun to see bunches of little kids out there getting into biking!
